Puzzle Games: A Better Way to Think Through Each Move
Good puzzle play is less about guessing and more about reducing uncertainty. Before making a major move, pause and identify the goal, the information currently available, and the consequences of a mistake.
Start with reversible moves
When you are learning a new puzzle, test moves that reveal information without closing off many future options. This gives you feedback about the rules and helps prevent an early dead end.
Look for repeated structures
Colors, shapes, numbers, and board positions often create patterns. Instead of scanning randomly, compare similar areas and ask what changes from one step to the next.
Slow down near the end
Many errors happen when a solution seems obvious. Recheck the remaining constraints before committing. A short pause can be faster than restarting the entire level.
